Eating Behavior - Adults

With obesity on the rise in the greater popular, many adults are being very hard on their self in regards to weight gain.

It's something that may have innocently happened. One day, they hopped on the weight scales to discover an increase in the numbers. Somehow, their thinner bodies had been stolen...

 

Or, the weight gain may have followed a rather joyous holiday season or celebration.

Perhaps the weight gain ensued after a plentiful harvest.

Perhaps the weight gain occurred after a baby was born - or after the onset of menopause.

Maybe the weight gain was something that happened during a time of overwhelming stress.

No matter what the cause, the thing to keep in mind is that weight gain can happen to anyone for a myriad of reasons. Rather than go into a sinkhole of depression OR combat obesity by ignoring it, the best thing to do is to:

Center the daily diet around healthy foods AND a variety of foods;

Incorporate activity into daily life.

Don't sweat the little stuff.  Strive to keep life as stress free as possible.
