Difficult Weight LossWeight Loss isn't easy and some pounds are more difficult to lose than other pounds. As an example, let's take a gander at Jen. Jen has just papered a wall with an elegant print featuring red roses. Jen suddenly notices a bubble in the wallpaper.
Acting swiftly, Jen pulls back the wet wallpaper, then reapplies it, sticking it firmly to the wall. A few days later, Jen notices another bubble in another section of the room. When we first put on pounds - such as during the holiday, if we go on a diet quickly thereafter, the weight is shed fairly easily. But when we allow time to pass, the pounds seem to mold onto our bodies and when we diet, it's much more difficult to pull them off. Of course, the best solution for weight loss is to never gain weight so that we aren't faced with losing weight. But since the body is such a complex system, it's very difficult to estimate our exact calorie needs and calorie expenditures - so our weight is never totally in balance. We go up a few ounces, and then down. Many times, the variance is so minute that it doesn't even register on our weight scales.
